Choosing the right coating for exterior wood ensures both a beautiful, long-lasting finish and real protection against the elements. Sikkens offers two products that excel in their respective fields: Rubbol BL Ventura Satin for joinery and Cetol Wetterschutzfarbe Extra for large surfaces.

Rubbol BL Ventura Satin – High-performance lacquer for windows and woodwork

Designed specifically for wooden elements with limited or complete dimensional stability (windows, shutters, exterior doors, roof soffits, balconies…), Rubbol BL Ventura Satin is a new generation single-pot water-soluble satin enamel lacquer.

Thanks to innovative Dura Vent technology, it ensures optimal humidity regulation: internal water vapor can escape freely while external moisture is blocked. This significantly reduces the risk of blistering and peeling.

Technical strengths and advantages

• Very fast drying : two coats can be applied in the same day → significant time savings on renovation projects
• Excellent application properties : very good flow, easy cutting and optimal edge protection
• Exceptional stability : classified A according to the BFS 26 technical data sheet (colors and gloss last over time)
• Low odor : single-component, water-soluble system, ideal for use in occupied buildings or on the interior surfaces of windows
• Elegant satin finish (35 GU/60°) with no yellowing in the grooves
• High resistance to weathering and UV rays

Consumption : approximately 90 ml/m² per coat (approximately 11 m²/l). Colors : Sikkens Color-Mix system (thousands of colors available).

Cetol Wetterschutzfarbe Extra – The all-in-one opaque paint for facades and large surfaces

Cetol Wetterschutzfarbe Extra is an opaque, elastic and satin matte acrylic paint specially developed for exterior wooden elements without dimensional stability or with limited stability.

It is particularly suitable for cladding, wooden facades, pergolas, timber framing, formwork and chalets. Its main advantage: it's a system in a single container (two coats are sufficient for complete protection).

• Excellent elasticity that follows the movements of the wood and limits cracking.
• Permeable to water vapor while effectively protecting against the elements
